Thank you for booking an appointment to see one of our therapists. Due to ongoing public health concern about COVID-19, Newell Physiotherapy is implementing various precautions at the direction of the Ministry of Health. These precautions include:

  • Therapists cannot deliver in-person care if the client their essential visitor exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 “screens positive” for COVID-19 risk.

  • In-person therapy is limited to when, in the therapist’s professional judgment, therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks to both the client and the therapist.

  • For every appointment, clients will be screened three times for COVID-19 risk:

  1. Clinic personnel will contact the client by phone within 36 hours of the appointment to conduct the pre-treatment screening questionnaire.

  2. Before coming to the clinic premises, clients must self-screen for COVID-19 using the pre-treatment screening questionnaire.

  3. Therapists will conduct the COVID-19 screening questionnaire at the beginning of each appointment, for the client any essential visitor who has accompanied the client.


The clinic is waiving late-cancellation fees for appointments cancelled or rescheduled due to COVID-19 risk.


  • For every appointment, our clients must:


  1. Arrive at the clinic no earlier than two minutes before the appointment.

  2. Come to the clinic only with individuals who are providing essential support for your visit (e.g. driving you to or from your appointment). Please note that essential visitors are required to provide contact information on a visitor log at the clinic.

  3. Have and wear a clean mask at the clinic. If you do not have one from home, one will be provided at the clinic.
